We’re here to answer any questions you might have. Here are some common ones.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment to get an estimate? Walk-ins are welcome. However, calling ahead is suggested, especially when filing an insurance claim.
Is my car safe to drive? Any vehicle that could not pass a state inspection is unsafe to drive. Any combination of the following: broken lights, parts hanging off, broken glass, hood or doors that do not open/close properly all constitute an unsafe vehicle. JRA will tow any vehicle you are not comfortable driving to the shop as a courtesy. Contact us if you’re not sure.
How do I get a Rental Car? JRA can arrange the rental car to meet you at the shop. In addition, if you do not have rental coverage, JRA will negotiate the best possible rate on your behalf.
How do I get an estimate? It is always best to have the insurance company conduct the estimate at the repair facility. This ensures that you get the proper estimate the first time. JRA is flexible and will schedule a time that’s convenient for both you and the insurance company.
Should I accept the insurance check, and if I do, will additional work be covered? Yes, the original insurance check can be signed over to the shop upon completion of repairs. We will work with the insurance company on any supplements (additional damage found to be accident related) and will bill them directly.
What if my insurance company wants me to go to another shop? You have a legal right to go to the shop of your choice. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop. JRA works with all insurance companies and the repair process is just as easy, if not easier, with us as it would be with the shop the insurance company suggested.
Estimates may vary – why is that? Differences in collision repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all the necessary work required for a complete repair. At JRA, we try to provide you with not only a cost effective but also thorough assessment the first time.
Will I have to deal with the insurance company? Once you file a claim, JRA can use that claim number to navigate the entire repair process for you. We will handle everything from rental to payment.
Do I need more than one estimate? No, your time is valuable and there is no need for you to drive around getting multiple estimates. JRA will contact your insurance company to review the repairs.
